Make a note of the time elapsed before the mouse starts to move after dropping it onto the floor of the arena (seconds)
Q11 Locomotor activity
Make a note of the total number of squares entered by any of its four feet in a 30-second period (Count the number of squares, assuming that the mouse turned at a right angle if it moved in a diagonal direction).
Q12 Transfer arousal
Evaluate the behavior of the mouse in the arena in first 30 seconds.
Q13 Piloerection
Observe body hair and piloerection.

Use the IHR click box placed 30 cm above the floor of the arena to present an auditory stimulus, and evaluate how the mouse responds on the following scale.
